Summer Medical Institute

Twice a week we went to a made house calls in various communities in Texas to conduct healthcare and spiritual surveys. For each outreach we rounded up to pray, loaded up the wagons, and set out in groups of three or four.

We were welcomed into many homes, where

we checked blood pressure, sugar levels, and

early development for young children. We were

also able to pray for them, and encourage them

with the hope in the Gospel. Many who opened

their homes and lives to us are in difficult circumstances. We pray that God will help them

see how much He loves and cares for them.

For two of our outreaches, we worked closely with Iglesia Bautista Los Vecinos, a local

church with a deep passion for Christ and

deep compassion for people. We came

armed with games, face paint, and even a

moon bounce. Through these attractions, we were able to offer health screenings, health education, and introduce them to Christians

from a nearby church. It was wonderful to be

part of a church's evangelism efforts, and to

offer medical and spiritual help.
